A hive of activity – finance, industry, transportation, communication and education – there can be little doubt Shanghai is the beating heart of China. But these images are not about that, they are about this city's soul!
Look past the traffic, hubbub and hurry-scurry to discover gentle, gregarious people, and an overriding civility and elegance that make this a most livable metropolis.
